Balancing family unity and child safety

Navigating the space between ensuring child safety and working towards family reunification can feel overwhelmingly complex. Recently, I was involved in a case where the challenges of maintaining a supportive environment for a young child while addressing parental concerns were quite pronounced. I’d love to hear how others handle these tough but vital decisions in their own practice.

Navigating parental concerns can indeed complicate things. In a recent case, we found that setting up regular check-in meetings with parents helped ease their worries and fostered a sense of collaboration. It’s tough to find that balance, but open lines of communication can make a huge difference in ensuring both child safety and family unity.
