Challenges in Family Reunification Efforts

The journey toward family reunification can be challenging, but every small success is worth celebrating. I recently worked with a family where both parents actively engaged in services over three months, and it’s heartbreaking yet inspiring to see their progress. Sharing experiences and strategies can be incredibly valuable for all of us navigating these tough but vital situations.

It’s amazing how those small victories can feel like climbing Everest; i once had a family where simple communication improvements made a world of difference. Have you found any particular strategies that really resonate with the families you work with?

I totally get that! Working with a family for just three months can reveal surprising strengths… Have you tried using strengths-based approaches?

It’s incredible how much can change in just three months. I worked with a mom who found her voice through role-play, which helped her communicate better with her kids. I find engaging them in fun, honest discussions about their strengths can really motivate progress. @g_hardy1991, have you seen similar tools work in your efforts?
